FlexiZone AF/AE. Because your subjects will often be off center and you will encounter less than ideal shooting conditions, Canon developed the exclusive FlexiZone AF/AE. Simply use the FlexiZone controller to align the "FlexiZone" in the viewfinder with your subject. You'll achieve perfect focus and exposure anywhere within the frame.

Digital Effects. Give variety and impact to your recordings by adding Art*, Black & White*, Sepia and Negative conversion*, Mirror-half*, Mirror-full, Mosaic*, Pastel, Emboss*, Color key* (red, green, blue or yellow), 16:9 and Cinema effects at the touch of a button.
Custom Keys. No more fiddling for the right button. Canon's convenient Custom Keys enable you to personalize your camera by putting the most commonly used functions at your fingertips.

Optional Accessories

CB-910 Car Battery Adapter: To power your camera or recharge battery packs on the move, the car battery adapter plugs into into your car’s cigarette lighter socket and runs off the car battery.

CH-910 Dual Battery Charger/Holder: This holds two battery packs and can charge them both consecutively. It can then be connected to the ES-50 or ES-55 to give twice the recording time.

TL-46 Tele-converter: This tele-converter increases the focal length of the camera lens by 1.4x. The zoom and autofocus operate as usual, so you can take full advantage of the extra range.

WD-46 Wide-converter: This converter decreases the lens’ focal length by 0.7X, giving you a wide perspective for indoor shots or panoramic views--and you can still use both zoom and autofocus.

FS-46 Filter-Set: A set of three 46mm special effects filters to add a creative touch to your recordings: multiple image, R-cross and zoom spot.

FS-46U Filter-Set: Three 46mm filters to help you control difficult lighting conditions UV, ND and circular polarizer).

VL-10Li Battery Video Light: If you need more light than is provided by the built-in video light, the compact but powerful VL-10Li light is ideal for indoor and even outdoor shooting. (Requires the SA-1 Adapter Bracket).

SA-1 Adapter Bracket: Attaches a video light or microphone securely to the camcorder

MM-100 Mixing Microphone: The MM-100 mixes live sound and music, so you can create the ideal soundtrack for you video productions.
