With Canon's built in Auto Editing Function and virtually any VCR, video footage can be easily and effortlessly edited. Create more stimulating and memorable videos with up to 6 scenes per edit using this feature to shorten long shots, change the order or delete scenes. You can even preview your edits before they are automatically recorded to a tape in your VCR.
FlexiZone AF/AE
Because your subjects will often be off center and you will encounter less than ideal shooting conditions, Canon developed the exclusive FlexiZone AF/AE. Simply use the FlexiZone controller to align the "FlexiZone" in the viewfinder with your subject. You'll achieve perfect focus and exposure anywhere within the frame.

Digital Effects
Give variety to your images during recording by adding 16:9, Negative conversion, Extra Long Digital Zoom, Mirror, Mosaic or Art effects at the touch of a button. And during playback, you can use 16:9, Art or Sepia effects.
Digital Faders
Easy to use, one of 6 faders can be added while recording, at the touch of a button. Choose from White, Horizontal Wipe, Mosaic, Art, Zoom, or B/W faders.
PAL TV playback
The ES6500V can convert NTSC-recorded tape signals to PAL60 signals. You can view tapes even in Europe and Asia where the PAL TV system is used.
Preset Titler Function
Effortlessly select one of the 5 preset titles such as "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to match the occasion. Alternatively, enter an original title of your own.
