Optical 11X Zoom (44X Digital)

Image Stabilizer

A high quality image-stabilization system corrects camera shake instantly, giving you smooth, stable pictures - even on long telephoto shots without a tripod

IEEE 1394 (DV Terminal)
The ZR is equipped with a DV IN/OUT terminal on its body that conforms to IEEE 1394. It takes just a single digital cable to edit, copy and record your video virtually free from generation loss in image and sound quality.

PCM Digital Sound The ZR offers two digital audio modes. The 16 bit mode produces the higher, CD equivalent, two-channel sound quality while the 12 bit mode records on two of four channels leaving two other channels free to dub extra sound at a later date*. * Editing equipment required.

2.5" LCD Screen
Get the lowdown to take the high ground - adjust the LCD panel through 180° for both low-angle and high-angle shooting. You can even flip the screen over to let the subject look at the recording or make recordings of yourself.

Finder Unit

When is an LCD screen not an LCD screen?...when you clip on the Finder Unit to convert it to a viewfinder for precise framing in bright sunlight conditions. It is included in the standard kit.

Digital Photo Mode
		Take more than 500 brilliantly clear still pictures on a single tape (in SP mode). The camera records the still pictures for approximately 6 seconds, as well as recording the sound for your verbal notes or narration.
