You can select one daily event for playback (selected source is played) or recording (can record from the built-in tuner or Aux component hooked up to the analog or digital input). The playback or record time may be varied from 5-240 minutes in 5 minute increments. Recording can be to the cassette deck or CDR/W recorder

This system uses 3-way, bi-amplified speakers (45 watts x 2 for bass drivers, 15 watts x 2 for midranges/tweeters). Each speaker has a 13/16" ceramic dome tweeter, a 4" paper cone midrange (foam surround), and a 6-3/8" paper cone subwoofer (foam surround). For extended bass response, there is a single port opening in the bottom front of each speaker. The main grille is removable, but the midrange and tweeter are covered with a non-removable metal grille. The speakers are video shielded.
