With line-level and speaker-level inputs and outputs, PowerBass models are an ideal add-on for today's Dolby Digital receivers. The PB10's LFE switch allows you to bypass the subwoofer's internal crossover if you prefer to use your receiver/processor's bass output and crossover controls. Or, you can choose to bypass the LFE switch, which then engages the subwoofer's low-pass crossover, providing a seamless transition between main speakers and the subwoofer. Either way, you'll enjoy exceptional bass response.

Automatic Power On/Off contains automatic signal-sensing circuitry (auto on/off) to turn unit on when it receives input.
PowerBass™ Amplifier features a high-efficiency, high output design which delivers much greater power with reduced distortion and substantially less heat, even at high listening levels.
PowerBass™ Woofer cones are made of pure cellulose fiber, which is both lightweight and very rigid. This allows the woofer to move extremely fast and deliver a more realistic rendering of ultradeep frequencies.
PowerBass™ LFE Switch allows the incoming Dolby Digital or DTS signal to bypass the subwoofer's crossover network if you choose. You can then use your receiver or processor's LFE control to select the crossover point.
Vented Voice-Coil Magnets dissipate heat, increase power handling, and preserve driver accuracy during periods of extended use.
Phase Switch This switch allows the delay of the subwoofer's output slightly so that it is in phase with the output from your main speakers.

5 Way Binding Posts allow the use of a wide variety of speaker-cable terminations, including banana plugs, spades, and pins, for a more secure and convenient connection. This provides maximum wiring flexibility and improves overall performance.
8 Ohms Nominal Impedance represents the amount of resistance to the flow of current from the amplifier. While the impedance rating of this particular speaker will vary with the frequency of the input signal, an 8 ohm rating speaker is intended to work with nearly all home amplifiers and receivers. No special amplifier or receiver setting is necessary.
Bass Reflex Enclosure uses a tuned opening, or "port" box design to release more energy created by the movement of the woofer cone. Because the enclosure is sized and the port is tuned specifically to the output frequencies of the woofer, it is much more power efficient, playing louder than acoustic suspension enclosures at the same input level.
