Dolby® Digital (AC-3) Decoder allows you to experience the thrills of today's stunning Hollywood soundtracks right in your family room. By decoding five discrete audio channels, plus a separate subwoofer channel for dynamic low bass performance, Dolby Digital delivers crisp dialogue, breathtaking movement across the soundstage, and thunderous special effects.

6-Piece Home Theater Speaker System provides a simple solution with two front speakers, two rear speakers, a center channel, and a subwoofer. Place the front speakers on either side of your television, place the rears behind you, and place the center channel just above or below the television. Then position the subwoofer in a convenient place, preferably on the same plane as your front speakers.

Digital Signal Format Auto Detection (Auto Select) detects the format of the incoming digital data stream, automatically activating the proper surround decoding mode. The system automatically switches between different surround modes when changing digital sources or software formats.

Digital AM/FM Stereo Tuner processes FM and AM radio broadcasts digitally, locking in on the signal for less drift and reduced distortion. It also allows for simple storage of station frequencies in convenient presets.

40 Random Memory Presets allows you to customize 40 (total) of your favorite FM and AM radio stations for easy access.

Dolby® Pro Logic Processor decodes 2-channel Dolby® Surround-encoded into 4 discrete channels (left, center, right, surround), creating a movie theater-like surround experience in the home. Available on Dolby encoded satellite, broadcast/cable TV, DVDs, laser discs, and VHS tapes.

Subwoofer Preamp Output refers to a set of output jacks (often it's a single jack) that sends only the low frequencies (usually below 200 Hz). This output is designed to connect to the line-level input(s) on a powered subwoofer, or to a separate amplifier/subwoofer combination.

Video Shielding eliminates the stray magnetic field from the speaker magnets, which could otherwise distort your TV picture.

Audio Features

Bass + Treble Controls allow you to adjust the bass (lower) and treble (higher) frequencies of the music to your own individual listening tastes.

Loudness Adjustment At low volumes, the loudness adjustment boosts the low (bass) and high (treble) frequencies in the music to make it sound more dynamic and natural to the human ear.

Coaxial Digital Input accepts the pure digital output from another digital product, such as a CD or DVD Player. Uses a standard coaxial digital cable (not included).
Optical (TOS-link) Digital Input accepts the pure digital output from another digital product, such as a CD or DVD Player. Uses a standard optical digital connection cable (not included).
Subwoofer Preamp Output sends the subwoofer (also know as LFE, or Low Frequency Effects, on Dolby Digital receivers) frequencies to an optional powered subwoofer, enhancing your system bass response and enriching your listening experience. Connection of this output requires an RCA cable (not included).
