The three-point Eye Controlled Focus system almost always puts a focusing mark where you want it...where you're looking! This intuitive interface joins you and the camera as never before. For creative images as never before. With its advanced Eye Controlled Focus, the EOS ELAN IIE literally becomes an extension of your vision. After you complete a simple calibration process to customize the system for your eyesight, the camera stores your personal data in one of three calibration channels. An intelligent program accumulates even more data when you add calibrations to your channel during various indoor and outdoor lighting conditions.

Autofocus

AF CONTROL SYSTEM : TTL-CT-SIR (Secondary Image Registration) phase detection type using multi-BASIS (Base Stored Image Sensor).

Film Transport

Film Speed Setting : ISO 25-5000 automatically set in 1/3 step increments according to DX code. Can also be set manually from ISO 6-6400 in 1/3 step increments.
Film Loading : Automatic take-up with a sprocketless system. Film is automatically advanced to the first frame when the camera back is closed.
Film Transport : Choice of single frame or continuous shooting at approximately 2.5 fps with film counter revealing frame number.
Film Rewind : Film is automatically rewound at the end of the roll or after 36 exposures with a mid-roll film rewind option. Choice of high-speed (6 seconds with 24 exposure roll) or silent rewind (12 seconds with 24 exposure roll) modes.
Flash : Built-in, retractable TTL automatic flash; pops-up automatically when needed in low light / backlight situations except when in Creative shooting mode; may be activated in Creative mode with flash pop-up switch.
