The latest and most advanced addition to the world's best selling line of SLR cameras, the new EOS Rebel G is fully automatic, ultra compact, quiet and comes equipped with a built-in retractable flash. It features a high-speed selectable 3-point autofocus system with A1 Focus for improved performance, and Canon's exclusive AIM (Advanced Integrated Multi-Point) control system which links Rebel G's three-point autofocus to multi-zone metering for available light and flash. Offering 11 exposure modes (Full Auto to metered manual with indicator) plus Multiple Exposure, Exposure Compensation and Auto Exposure Bracketing, it has an enhanced Command Dial for operating mode selection, and is fully compatible with Canon's complete line of EF autofocus lenses and EOS System Specialties, including Battery Pack BP-8, Grip Tripod GR-80TP and Remote Switch RS-60E3. New features like Auto Exposure Bracketing (in 1/2 stop increments up to ą 2 stops) and E-TTL Autoflash (enables high-speed synch for automatic fill flash), and improvements like better control of Red-Eye Reduction, the In-Focus Beeper and the Auto Exposure (AE) Lock make the EOS Rebel G the most advanced Rebel yet.

Shutter Speeds: 30 to 1/2000 sec., Bulb; X-sync at 1/90 sec. Can be set in 1/2-stop increments.
AF Control System: TTL-SIR (Secondary Image Registration) phase detection type using 3-point cross type BASIS (Base-stored Image Sensor). (|+|).
Focus Point Selection: The focusing point can be selected by camera (Automatic) or by user (Manual).

Focus Modes

Autofocus: One of the following two AF modes is set automatically depending on the picture taking mode. The shutter does not release until focusing is achieved.
- One-Shot AF: Autofocus locks when focusing is achieved.
- Al Servo AF for automatic switching between One-Shot AF and predictive AF for moving subjects.
Film Speed Setting: ISO 25-5000 automatically set in 1/3 step increments according to DX code. Can also be set manually from ISO 6-6400 in 1/3 step increments.
Film Loading: Automatic prewind system. After film positioning and back cover closure, the film automatically winds to the end of the roll and stops.
Film Wind: Automatic. One of two modes is automatically set: Single Frame and Continuous (1 fps maximum).
Film Rewind: Automatically rewinds at the end of the roll. Mid-roll rewind is possible.
Flash: Built-in, retractable TTL autoflash head in the pentaprism. Auto pop-up and serial-controlled.
Recycling Time: Approximately 2 seconds. Lights when ready.
Red-Eye Reduction: Red-Eye Reduction Lamp Lights while the shutter button is pressed halfway and focusing and metering are achieved.

Power Source

Battery: Two CR123A (or Duracell DL 123A) Lithium batteries (6V), housed inside the camera grip.
Battery Check: Battery level is displayed by the battery level indicator on the LCD panel. Battery level is indicated in one of four levels.
