World’s First Splashproof System Camera
This is the camera for the serious photographic adventurer. That’s because the entire S-1 system, including interchangeable lenses and flash, is splashproof so you never have to let bad weather get in the way of a great shot. Leave exposure settings to the Expert Program or special Subject Programs, or make settings yourself with the three creative exposure control modes. Whichever you choose, the S-1’s advanced 14-segment metering ensures accurate exposure, even in tricky lighting. And continuous, predictive autofocusing maintains sharp focus, even of moving subjects.

Other features include: an extra-bright, long eye-relief viewfinder that’s perfect for eyeglass wearers; built-in red-eye reduction flash with full auto, fill flash, flash cancel, and night portrait (slow sync flash) modes; mid-roll change that lets you rewind film mid-roll, remove it and use it later to enable switching to faster film speeds or even slide film when available; a large LCD data panel that displays all the operating modes. The Vectis S-1 accepts ISO 32 to 3200 Advanced Photo System film and is powered by two 3-volt CR-2 lithium batteries. It is covered by Minolta’s one-year limited warranty.
