• 6M Pro-Still (Pixel Shift Mode) collects twice as much image data by using two exposures (with the CCD shifted one pixel for the second exposure), resulting in an image consisting of 6 million pixels, or twice as many in normal mode.
• DR Pro-Still (Wide Range Mode) uses two exposures, one with the exposure adjusted for the dark portions of the image, and one with exposure adjusted for the bright portions. By using the image data from both exposures, the GC-QX3U achieves a wide dynamic range that was previously impossible--approaching the latitude of conventional film.
• NR Pro Still (Noise Reduction Mode) uses several exposures to collect a large amount of image information, then extracts the signal components and eliminates the noise components. This dramatically reduces electronic picture noise which occurs easily with conventional digital cameras--by up to 18db for significantly clearer, cleaner images.
