Minolta is pleased to announce the addition of a new dual-format film scanner. The Dimâge Scan Speed blends the engineering and image quality of the Dimâge Scan Multi with the bi-format convenience of the Dimâge Scan Dual. The Dimâge Scan Speed combines high-quality, high-resolution scans of 35mm and Advanced Photo System film with easy to use software at a competitive price. This combination of value and technology makes the Dimâge Scan Speed an ideal scanner for a variety of personal and professional uses, including those in the design, photographic, and printing fields.

HIGH QUALITY: Input resolution capable of 2820 dpi - crisp, detailed images are guaranteed. Full frame images scanned from 35mm film have over 10,000,000 pixels. Match this incredible resolution with a simple-to-use focus free system and you have the formula for ultra sharp images.

HIGH SPEED: Scanning speed is an important factor of productivity. The Dimâge Scan Speed's improved engineering makes it faster than our previous dual-format scanner. Average scan times for full resolution, full frame 35mm color positives is approximately 40 seconds.

12 BIT AD-CONVERSION AND WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE: The Dimâge Scan Speed has a dynamic range of 3.6 and superior 12-bit AD conversion which can handle deep shadows, bright highlights, and millions of colors.

DUAL-FORMAT CAPABILITY: The Dimâge Scan Speed offers versatility with it's ability to scan 35mm and both positive and negative film in color and black & white. With the optional APS adapter AD_10, The Advanced Photo System film can also be scanned.

HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL USER-FRIENDLY SOFTWARE: The Dimâge Scan Speed's driver software has all the features needed for making quality, accurate scans. The software's interface uses independent windows and has function buttons for quick easy access.
Adobe PhotoShop LE is also provided with the Dimâge Scan Speed. This sophisticated, professional level image editing software is bundled with the driver software for both Macintosh and IBM PC/AT compatible systems. In addition, a ColorSync profile is also provided.

FOR BEGINNERS AND PROFESSIONALS: There are different levels of image-correction control that can be selected depending on the user's skills and needs.

MINOLTA'S EXCLUSIVE JOB FUNCTION: Determining scan settings can be confusing and time consuming. Using the Job Function eliminates the need for calculations, by simply selecting the desired output category and page size the scan settings are figured automatically. There are approximately 150 easy to understand Job settings from WebPages to color laser printer outputs, scan settings are quickly determined for optimum performance.
