Equipped with a 1.3 megapixel (1.6 million interpolated) SuperHAD CCD and advanced 12-bit A-D (analog-to-digital) conversion, the Mavica MVC-FD90 delivers outstanding picture detail and clarity. It also offers a powerful 8X optical (41-328mm) and 16X digital zoom to help you get the shot just how you want it, Memory Stick compatibility, external flash terminal, digital effects and MPEG capability.

High Performance:

1.3M pixel Super HAD image sensor with 1.6M pixel interpolation mode provides up to 1472 x 1104 pixel resolution.
8x (41-328mm) optical zoom lens and 16X precision digital zoom lens
12-bit A-D (analog-to-digital) conversion delivers four times the intensity levels as conventional 10-bit conversion. This results is greater dynamic range as well as greater detail in bright highlights and dark shadows.
Optional MSAC-FD2M Memory Stick floppy disk adapter makes the MVC-FD90 dual-media capable, expanding the potential memory up to 44x with a 64MB card. This means you capture almost 1000 images or 42 minutes in MPEG Movie Mode.
Built-in intelligent flash with red-eye reduction automatically turns on in low light and adjusts for the optimum amount of flash. An external flash terminal is also provided, allowing use with the external HVL-F1000 accessory flash. The HVL-F1000 adds range (over 30') and flexibility (bounce and multi-source) to the flash system.
High-speed auto focus as well as manual focus (with focus ring). A focus indicator is also
provided for detailed manual focusing.

One of the fastest and easiest ways to get video and audio into your computer for e-mail, presentations, or web applications, MPEG Movie has two modes: Presentation Mode with 15 seconds of video at 320 x 240 resolution, and Video Mail Mode with 60 seconds at 160 x 112 resolution.

Playback crop/trim and resize functions lets you manipulate the picture inside your camera. Zoom and trim allows you to crop and blow up images without external software programs. Resize lets you save an image as a smaller file, permitting easier e-mailing or more room for storage.
The removable 3.5-inch floppy disk is still the storage media of choice. Floppy disks continue to be inexpensive, and easy to use. No hassles with connecting wires or interfaces, just insert into your PC's floppy drive. Each disk will store up to 40 images in VGA mode per disk.
Disk Copy from the menu with your original disk in the camera and the MVC-FD90 will save images in temporary memory. Place a new disk in and you have an exact copy of all your pictures to share with anyone. And, you are not limited to just pictures, Excel, Power Point and Word files can also be copied from disk to disk.
