Combining satellite tracking technology with detailed electronic maps, the StreetPilot GPS brings GPS navigation to your car. Working in a car, truck or van, StreetPilot GPS gives you the comfort of knowing where you are--anywhere in the world, in any weather, 24 hours a day--is as close as your dashboard. And there is no monthly service fee. No big investment.

Enter an address and StreetPilot takes you there. It shows that destination and your position on the map. Push the ‘Find’ button and follow the prompts to view the nearest businesses or attractions. When you see what you like, drive to it using Street Pilot’s directions. Designed primarily for the automobile, StreetPilot GPS contains a reference basemap showing Interstate, U.S., and State highways, plus rivers and lakes in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with main arterial streets shown in metropolitan areas. Optional data cards (MetroGuides) can be plugged in for street-level map detail as well as an electronic yellow pages. All you need to do is enter a street address or choose points of interest (such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations, banks, and shopping areas) and the StreetPilot will display it on a map along with your current location.

With StreetPilot you are never lost. It shows you exactly where you are on the map, and stores your favorite locations so you will always find your way back. It features a high-performance twelve parallel channel GPS receiver for quick satellite acquisition and reliable signal reception, whether you're under dense tree cover or surrounded by high-rise skyscrapers.
Large high-resolution display offers razor-sharp images, while text and graphics are shown in large type for easy viewing--even in direct sunlight. Navigating in low-light situations is also easy with three-level amber backlighting.
Includes six AA batteries for up to 16 hours of operation and a dash mount for mounting on your car’s dashboard. There is also an optional cigarette lighter adapter available.
