The Auto Clock Set circuitry reads the XDS broadcast signal containing time of day and date information, automatically setting the clock during initial setup as well as after most power interruptions.
Loop Play
When in Loop Play mode, the VCR plays the tape in deck 1 until it ends, then starts to play the tape in deck 2. While deck 2 is playing, deck 1 is rewound so that it is ready to resume playing when deck 2 is finished. Play continues from deck to deck until you stop the VCR.
Loop Record
Loop Record works on the same manner as Loop Play does, except it records continuously on both decks until you stop the VCR.
Sequential Play
When in Sequential Play, the tape in deck 1 plays to the end, then the tape in deck 2 plays to the end.
Sequential Record
Sequential record begins recording on deck 1 and continues recording on deck 2 when deck 1 has ended. At SLP speed, this gives 12 continuous hours of recording on standard T-120 tapes.
16-Event/1-Year Programmable Timer
The built-in timer memory can be preset up to one year in advance to record as many as 16 different programs automatically.
Timer Record Conflict Advisory
If you accidentally program timer events that conflict with or overlap each other, the VCR will show you which events are in contention and let you decide if you wish to remove one of the events or leave the contention intact.

Auto Power On/Play/Rewind/Shutoff
Simply inserting a cassette in the VCR turns it on (Auto Power On). When a prerecorded cassette is inserted in the VCR, it automatically starts playing (Auto Play). When the end of the tape is reached, Auto Rewind automatically rewinds the tape. If the VCR is turned off during rewind, it will continue rewinding until end of tape is reached, then shut off.
Auto Daylight Savings Adjustment
Automatically adjusts the VCR's clock twice a year for daylight savings time, so you won't have to.
