SmartFile™Electronic Indexing System identifies each show either by name or by recording date, time and channel helpinbg you index your home videos; SmartFile displays the tape's longest unused recording time, right on your VCR front panel. The system also lets you protect individual shows from re-recording. And it automatically finds blank tape - making it easier to record new programs. The special self-adhesive SmartFile label attaches to the spine of any conventional VHS cassette - turning it into a "smart" cassette; five labels included with the purchase of a SmartFile VCR.
Guide Plus+Ž Electronic Programming Guide An on-screen programming guide which you can use for channel surfing and timer programming. Guide Plus+ stores program listings for up to 50 channels for a two day period. The on-screen guide allows the user to select shows by category (such as sports, music, etc.) or by time. Using this information, a recording timer schedule can be created. Just select the show and press one button; up to 20 shows can be scheduled for timer recording.
