DNR Perfect™ Digital Noise Reduction
DNR Perfect transforms your favorite older, "less than perfect" tapes so they now look and sound almost as good as new. The advanced circuitry individually scans each frame in the video and automatically removes annoying flecks and specks ("video noise") that often appear in well-worn rental tapes - and especially tapes recorded in long-play SLP mode. The improvement onscreen is startling.
Toshiba V3® Pro Drum Technology
Toshiba's award-winning V3 technology delivers the best VHS quality available. For the sharpest picture and clearest sound ever, Toshiba completely redesigned the heart of the VCR - the head cylinder (or drum). The pre-amplifier is built directly into the head cylinder - just like in professional broadcast equipment - eliminating wiring that introduces "noise" into the audio and video. The result is a remarkable improvement in picture and sound quality during playback and recording.
6-Head 19-Micron System
Quality so good, you won't believe you've recorded in the 6-hour EP (or SLP) mode. Toshiba's 6-head system automatically switches to a special narrower 19-micron head whenever you playback or record in EP mode. The picture rivals the quality of standard 2-hour SP mode even though you're packing more recordings onto a single cassette.
Color Signal Enhancemen
For more vivid, accurate colors, Toshiba's CSE circuitry restores the color signal to its original bandwidth during playback. There's far less color "bleeding" including difficult to reproduce reds. And the overall image in much sharper.

Auto Speed Select
No more missed endings of TV shows or important games. During preprogrammed recording, the VCR automatically switches to EP (long play) mode if you're running low on tape.
Super High-Speed Rewind and Fast-Forward
An advanced high-speed mechanism rewinds or fast-forwards a complete T-120 cassette in about 100 seconds - one-third the usual time.
